|Bud's Run is a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of running a wooded trail and provides many of the local not-for-profit organizations an opportunity to raise needed funds to support their activities. The race is held on Saturday, September 13 at the Lake Villa Township Caboose Park and runs through Grant Woods Forest Preserve. Bud's Run includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 10K Run. |

There are six miles of crushed-gravel trails at Grant Woods, one of the largest forest preserves in Lake County. The trails traverse wide-open prairies, quiet woodlands, and marshes teeming with wildlife.
